WRITERS STATEMENT:
I am drawn to the allegorical, horror and fantasy genre. Robert Zemeckis, Jim Henson, and Shelley Duvall’s “Faerie Tale Theatre” influenced most of my childhood. I most enjoy stories that motivate and encourage the audience to view themselves and other important and sensitive subjects, like mental illness, through a different lens. Stories like these help bring light to the stigma, fears, and painful limitations that come along with these conditions. My personal mission is to help produce more work that bridges the gap toward better understanding these sensitive topics.
